Meurig has written for a number of journals and magazines. In 1999 he and his father published:

A Gazetteer of the Second Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902 (Military Press) - an indispensable work for Anglo-Boer War researchers.

Meurig has over 25 years experience collecting medals and researching military history. His primary interest is in the Second Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902.
